Hey! Thanks for stopping by.

I answer to Amanda, Manda, or any random and wacky nickname my husband comes up with.

Speaking of my husband. His name is Eric, but I call him E. We got married June 20, 2015 and I love him more than doughnuts, pizza, Carmel Macchiatos’s, This Is Us, yoga pants and well, you get the point.

We live in Chicago and pour our heart and soul into the community we have here.

I work as the First Impressions Director for Soul City Church because I am passionate about making each person feel welcome, accepted, and wanted. You belong regardless of your beliefs.

While we have no children of our own, we love kids and became foster parents at the end of 2017. From the moment we got engaged, we made a decision together; whenever we have more than we need, we’re going to build a longer table, rather than a higher fence.

Our table is growing and growing. From the single mom to the dad in jail, we support those who need assistance caring for their little ones.

We’re learning to see these people as our family, loved and cherished by God, no matter what they’ve done or what their status is in the world.

I am certain of these two things:

  1. There isn’t a single person you would not love if you knew their story.
  2. Jesus died on the cross for my sin, and yours, and because of God’s unfathomable grace – I have been transformed and so can you.

So, that’s what I live for. The powerful grace of Jesus & loving people better than they deserve because there’s nothing better.

My desire is to be transparent because #ImpressingIsExhausting and I don’t have a fake bone in my body.

I’ll continue sharing my beautiful mess and get to know yours if you participate in the conversation!

Snag your favorite coffee, or whatever your heart desires, and dive into real stories filled with grace, tears, and laughter.

Most of all, be encouraged. You are never alone & always welcome here.

Hugs, Manda
